Decospan, based in Menen, Belgium, has integrated decorative wall and ceiling cladding in the form of elegantly veneered square-edged strips into its range with the "Astrata" product, which is manufactured in Europe. The veneer used comes from responsibly managed forests and offers designers, furnishers, modernizers and builders alike a creative solution for individual room concepts.
The veneered MDF squared timbers offered by Decospan are light in several respects: light in appearance, light in weight and easy to install. "The possibilities for using our slats are almost unlimited. They can be mounted on walls, ceilings, partitions, frames and much more - horizontally and vertically," says Lieven van Baelen, Sales Manager D/A/CH at Decospan and continues: "Thanks to the possibility of combining different sizes, you can create unique and inspiring spaces, whether in a private or professional context."
In addition to the slats in the Astrata collection, which fulfill a purely visual function and can also act as room dividers, for example, there is another possible application with "Coustics": they look like slats, but also offer massive sound reduction. "Here, the slats are not stapled individually, as with our 'slats', but glued to a high-quality, interwoven PET felt. The rear wall of the 'Coustics' is made of black MDF panels," says van Baelen. What all the slats have in common is the variety of colors and textures thanks to the various types of veneer available. The slats can also be supplied with a finished or unfinished surface. "The latter can then be individually treated by the buyer with oil or lacquer, colored or colorless, according to their own taste. This makes it possible to create unique room concepts that cannot be found anywhere else," van Baelen concludes. IFN/DS

Today it is supported by European companies from the veneer industry, the trade and the veneer processing industry as well as trade associations of the wood industry.
